The ideal candidate will be a well-spoken and well-written licensed attorney. Someone who is friendly and easy to work with--who can take direction, but also be self-directed. For the most part, the position will entail reviewing and preparing pleadings, motions, and orders and making sure cases are being worked to completion.
There will not be any solo hearings at court until the managing attorney feels the associate is ready. The firm handles family law, bankruptcy and probate cases, with a smattering of criminal and civil cases. A decent understanding of the rules of civil procedure and evidence are a plus.
The firm is highly reliant on technology including Microsoft Office, Sharepoint, Teams, etc. We also use Clio and Acrobat. A good understanding of these programs is helpful, but not required. Most important
